The Ukrainian chief engineer of the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant has been appointed director of the plant by Russia. The previous Ukrainian director was kidnapped by Russian troops in October, according to the Ukrainian government. The nuclear power plant in Zaporizhia is the largest in Europe and has been occupied by the Russians since the beginning of March.
