After a weak draw against Ecuador, the Dutch national team will play the third match at the World Cup against Qatar this afternoon. Will the Orange win and will it qualify for the eighth finals? With the football players of CSV Jong Holland from Alkmaar we look back and we look ahead.
All football players of Jong Holland were not really pleased with the game of Orange against Ecuador. According to Mika, Ecuador still had ‘quite a lot of opportunities’ in contrast to the Netherlands. Rodi also didn’t find the game entertaining: “I was done with it in the first half. It was so bad.”
It really has to be better, they also think at Jong Holland. In addition, Rodi has a tip for Louis van Gaal: “Klaassen has to go in instead of Berghuis. He scores much more.”
New round, new opportunities?
Whether the Orange will win tonight, according to Rodi, remains the question. If they lose and don’t continue, it won’t make him sad: “Too bad, but they just played badly.” Morris remains positive: “Even if we lose tonight we can still continue.”
The Dutch national team will play against Qatar this afternoon at 4:00 PM.
