German duo among winners
After the cup triumph in Latvia with promoted FK Auda, the German legionnaires Niko Bretschneider (23) and Kilian Senkbeil (23) can also look forward to a plus in the market value update of the Virsliga. While left-back Bretschneider goes up from 150,000 to 200,000 euros – career best – centre-back Senkbeil increases by 25,000 to 150,000 euros.
The biggest winner of the update is top scorer Raimonds Krollis (24 goals in 34 games). The 21-year-old from champions Valmiera FC has been revalued by 1 million to 2.5 million euros and is now the most valuable player in the Virsliga alongside FC Riga’s Hrvoje Babec (23), whose market value remained unchanged. The biggest loser of the update is Ibrahima Sow (22) from FK Tukums 2000, whose market value has halved to 200,000 euros.
