No Doubt played the last show of their Sphere residency 2026 in Las Vegas on Saturday – and a surprise guest briefly joined them on stage: Olivia Rodrigo.
Olivia Rodrigo surprises No Doubt at their last Sphere show
Throughout her 18-show residency, Gwen Stefani continually pulled superfans out of the audience and invited them on stage to hug them between songs. On Saturday night, a sign in the crowd caught her eye: “I’m just a girl who wants the last hug at the last Sphere show.” “Come up here right now and give me the last hug,” Stefani called to the sign holder.
It was revealed shortly afterwards that the person behind the sign was Rodrigo – a new album releaser, as her new work “You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love” had only been released the day before.
Stefani’s reaction to Rodrigo
“Is that Olivia Rodrigo?” Stefani asked. “Oh my God. Big applause for Olivia Rodrigo! She just released a new album.”
“No Doubt best band in the world!” Rodrigo shouted after grabbing the microphone. “I love you guys so much!”
Rodrigo then left the stage. “It was really real,” Stefani said dryly to the audience.
Not the first appearance together
It’s not the first time that Rodrigo has accompanied the reunited No Doubt on stage: When the band celebrated their comeback at Coachella in 2024, Rodrigo was a surprise guest at “Bathwater”. Rodrigo, who has always cited Stefani and No Doubt as a formative influence, had already covered “Just a Girl” at her own shows in 2022.
