The guests laid the foundation with an extremely strong second quarter, which went to the FCBB 27:9. Weißenfels was able to hold back well in the first and third quarters and had a few strong phases, but whenever Bayern tightened up defensively, the Wolves didn’t do much. With 14 points each, Kostja Mushidi and Martin Breunig struggled the most against defeat. Despite the tense personnel situation in Weißenfels, FC Bayern turned up the heat in the second quarter and won the section 27:9. The guests take a clear 47:26 lead into the dressing room. Despite various failures and the short recovery time after the EuroLeague game on Friday, the Trinchieri squad is fully there and repeatedly shows their individual quality. MBC had held up well in the first ten minutes, but when Bayern shifted up a gear on defense, the offensive side of the Wolves was almost dead. Eight turnovers haven’t been good for the hosts’ game either, and the two newcomers Ballock and Callison aren’t a factor at all. Let’s continue with the second half in the wolf’s den!

The Bavarians rely on speed in a formation that will probably not play together again and want easy points and throws from outside.
