Cyclist (85) dies after turning accident

In a turning accident in Lichtenrade, an 85-year-old cyclist died in the hospital early on Saturday morning. He was seriously injured on November 2nd.

According to witnesses, a 37-year-old man was driving his Hyundai on Fehlingstrasse towards Lichtenrader Damm at around 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday.

According to the police, when he turned left into Lichtenrader Damm, he collided with the cyclist who was coming towards him from Grimmstraße and was driving straight ahead.

The 85-year-old fell and was taken to hospital with serious head injuries.

There is currently a construction site in the area of ​​the intersection.

The traffic light is said to have been out of order at the time of the accident. The police are investigating the cause of the accident.
