Jabbeke and State Secretary meet around the arrival of asylum seekers
This is apparent from a conversation between the mayor of Jabbeke, Frank Casteleyn (CD&V) and State Secretary Nicole de Moor (CD&V). Over a period of six months, the reception center will accommodate 500 asylum seekers, mainly vulnerable families with children.
During the consultation, the concerns from the municipality of Jabbeke were communicated to the State Secretary. On the other hand, the State Secretary provided more information about the intended temporary crisis relief that would be organized by the Crisis Center in collaboration with Defence, Civil Protection and with the support of Fedasil.
