Surprising home defeat for FC Ingolstadt

FC Ingolstadt slipped down to fourth place in the 3rd soccer league due to a surprising home defeat against Viktoria Köln.

The Schanzer, previously unbeaten in six games in a row, lost 1:3 (1:2) on Sunday and had to give up their third place in the table to SC Freiburg II. The Breisgauer defeated VfB Oldenburg 1-0 (0-0).

In Ingolstadt, Andre Becker (3rd), Simon Handle (31st) and David Philipp (68th) scored for Cologne, who ended their run of ten games without a win and climbed to ninth place. Ingolstadt only managed to equalize temporarily through Pascal Testroet (7th, penalty kick).

In Freiburg, Vincent Vermeij scored a penalty kick (64th) for the home win and the jump to third place.
