Merel Westrik was on Friday evening for the first time in years in a talk show of RTL. The reason why is now clear: Westrik and Talpa have not renewed their contracts. A spokesperson for Talpa confirms this after reporting from Show news.
The presenter switched from RTL to Net5 in 2019. Her contract expired after three years. A reason for not extending it is not given, but ‘we certainly do not rule out a possible collaboration in the future’, says the spokesperson. Merel will soon also be featured in a new season of Grenzeloos Verliefd: Baby Abroad, which can be seen on Net5 from 2 November.
Westrik presented two seasons of the talk show for Net5 Ladies Night. That program was canceled due to poor viewing figures and the corona pandemic.
