“Following a complaint of serious misconduct, the Prime Minister has asked Conor Burns to leave the government immediately,” a government spokesman told the British news agency PA. “The Prime Minister took immediate action upon being informed of this allegation and it is clear that all ministers must uphold the high standards of conduct.”
According to the tabloid ‘The Sun’, a third had complained about Burns’ behavior towards a younger man at the Conservatives’ party rally in Birmingham earlier this week.
Burns, 50, was a minister under both Prime Minister Liz Truss and ex-Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
