Putin: it is possible that Europe will face problems with gas next year
According to the head of state, gas volumes in UGS facilities in Europe have already decreased to 40% of physical volumes, so problems cannot be ruled out next year. At the same time, as Putin pointed out, Hungary will not face such problems.
Underground gas storage facilities in Europe have already been reduced to 40% of their volume, and next year “our partners” may face problems. This was announced after a meeting with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban by Russian President Vladimir Putin, broadcasted by RBC.
“Gas volumes in UGS facilities in Europe have somewhere decreased to about 40 percent of physical volumes, and next year our partners in Europe will probably have problems,” he said.
At the same time, Putin noted that Hungary would not face such problems, since supplies of additional volumes of gas would soon be agreed.
Orban told Putin about his desire to increase gas supplies by 1 billion cubic meters. m
