English second division club Birmingham City signed midfielder Jobe Bellingham, brother of Borussia Dortmund’s England international Jude, on his 17th birthday. The right-footed player, who played for both the U18s and the U23s of the “Blues” last season, has made seven mostly short-term appearances in the first team to date.
The club announced on July 17 that Bellingham had accepted an offer and that he would sign the working paper once he turned 17. At that time shared this via Twitter with that he feels honored. The youngster is currently on an international tour with the English U18 team in Spain. Brother Jude was also trained at Birmingham City before he decided to switch to BVB in 2020 for 25 million euros.
