The state funeral of Elizabeth II in London has been running since 11.44 a.m. German time. Family funeral service, mega state act – the world bows to the Queen again.
It’s the greatest goodbye ever!
The Queen embarks on her final journey to her beloved husband Prince Philip († 99) on Monday.
Around 2000 guests came to Westminster Abbey. Including around 500 royals and state leaders, including US President Joe Biden (79) and Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier (66).
This moving scene on Monday afternoon: Duchess Meghan (41) cries for the Queen.

A photographer captured the scene at the funeral service at Westminster Abbey.
This was also a very moving scene in Westminster Abbey shortly before: there is a letter on the Queen’s coffin, handwritten to Elizabeth. Who wrote it? Her son Charles, the new king.
“In loving and loving memory. Charles R.” is on the letter. The “R.” stands for Rex, the Latin word for “king”.
The scene brings back memories of the funeral service for Prince Philip († 99) in 2021 and the funeral of Lady Di in 1997. Heartbreaking: When Diana said goodbye, Harry and William wrote to “Mummy”! The brothers’ letter was on top of the coffin.
For Philip, it was a final love letter left by the Queen to the love of her life: “I love you,” including her childhood nickname – Lilibet.
