Do you know the deliciously sweet smell of warm waffles when you walk through the Westward in the Stadshart? We have been able to get fresh stroopwafels, poffertjes and sugar waffles at Van Schaik’s takeaway counter for years. But from now on no more…

The small shophouse is closed and completely empty. Van Schaik has stopped in Zoetermeer and is opening a new store elsewhere outside our city.
On the market and now also a shop
The Hague company Van Schaik is mainly known as a stroopwafel baker on the market in The Hague, Rotterdam, Alphen aan den Rijn and in other cities. The first store opened in Zoetermeer as a sort of pilot to gain experience with a fixed point of sale in the center of a city. With this experience, Van Schaik has now opened a store in the Venestraat in The Hague. A second location is planned.
No more stroopwafels in Zoetermeer
Van Schaik says that they have enjoyed standing in the Stadshart for years, but that it is time for new plans. Unfortunately, a store in Zoetermeer is not on the schedule, so we really have to go to one of the commodity markets, to The Hague or to the online webshop for these stroopwafels from The Hague.
