A spokeswoman for the Limburg-North Security Region could not indicate why the air raid siren did not go off. “Our control room sends a signal to the so-called WAS posts on the first Monday of the month at 12:00 pm,” she says. “If a pole does not function, we automatically receive a notification. We then go to the pole to see what was going on. We have not received a notification now.”
