Willem II has a meager point left over from the away match against Jong FC Utrecht. It was and remained, to the disappointment of hundreds of traveling fans from Tilburg, 0-0.
The Tilburg team did have more ball possession, but a goal was not possible, although Daniel Crowley was very close with a shot against the bar in the final phase.
Willem II missed striker Jizz Hornkamp, for whom Michael de Leeuw played. Kostas Lamprou was arguably one of the few people on the field who could be content. The experienced keeper of Willem II – just like in the recent friendly match against Feyenoord – was in the starting lineup and kept his goal clean.
Willem II remains the number ten in the Kitchen Champion Division due to the third loss of points. Young FC Utrecht remains penultimate.
