Ligue 1: PSG’s monster run over

The French soccer champions Paris Saint-Germain lost their feathers for the first time in Ligue 1 on the 4th matchday.

On Sunday evening, the star ensemble from the Seine only drew 1-1 (0-1) against AS Monaco, but with ten points thanks to a goal record of 18:4 they still have the same number of points ahead of Olympique Marseille and the RC Lens leaders.

The PSG offensive, which started so furiously, faltered for the first time when ex-Munich Renato Sanches made his debut.

Superstar Neymar (70th) equalized with a penalty kick after video evidence after national player Kevin Volland (20th) had deservedly given the guests the lead.

Bitter: Volland’s debut of the season ended minutes after the goal. The 30-year-old injured his foot with a low shot from around 15 meters and had to be replaced while limping.

The Monegasques (5) are in twelfth place in the bottom half of the table.
