Lively game despite fewer chances

In the intensive initial phase, the guests initially found their way into the game better. Hannover’s build-up game, on the other hand, was still error-prone at the beginning. And so the Fürth team had the first opportunity of the game through Dickson Abiama, who failed to score the 96th goal because of the attentive Ron-Robert Zieler (11th).

After that, Hannover slowly got going: Nicolo Tresoldi tried a cross from the left with a hoe, the art shot was parried by Fürth’s goalkeeper Andreas Linde with his chest. Even after that, it remained a lively game despite fewer chances. 96 even scored once, but Japan’s Sei Muroya was clearly offside (25′).

The game between Hannover 96 and Greuther Fürth was balanced for a long time. The second half belonged to the 96ers.

Nielsen heads the winning goal

After the break, the ball was back in the Fürth box and this time it was the goal that counted: after the guests lost the ball in midfield, a through ball reached Beier on the left. The young 96 attacker shook off Oliver Fobassam and hit the right corner with a low shot (52′).

The game association then increased their offensive efforts, which in turn opened up more space for Hannover. For a long time, however, there were no good opportunities here or there. Only when the hosts also lost the ball unnecessarily did things change. The ball came to substitute Pululu, who chased the ball into the top left corner of the 96 goal.

But Hannover struck back again: Nielsen converted a cross from the left with his head (86th) and thus ensured the third win in a row for the team of coach Stefan Leitl, who came from Fürth before the season.
