The fire brigade was called out on Saturday because a small plane wanted to land at Eindhoven Airport as a precaution. It was a sports plane, said a spokesman for the fire service.
A fire extinguisher, an emergency vehicle and the duty officer arrived at the airport. There were two people on the plane. The landing went well. The fire brigade was able to return to the barracks and did not have to take action.
According to the spokesperson, the pilot probably thought that something was wrong with the plane, so that a landing is initiated as a precaution.
It is not clear whether the aircraft also had Eindhoven Airport as its final destination. It is also not known where the plane had departed.
