One day after her victory in mixed synchronized jumping, Tina Punzel, third at the Olympics, also won EM gold from the 3m board together with her Tokyo synchronized partner Lena Hentschel.
The defending champions from Dresden and Berlin, who had just missed out on a medal in fourth place at the World Championships seven weeks ago, scored 281.16 points after five jumps in the Foro Italico in Rome, beating the Italians Elena Bertocchi/Chiara Pellacani and Emilia Nilsson Garip /Elna Widerström from Sweden behind.
On Wednesday, Punzel won the mixed synchronous competition together with Lou Massenberg and gave the German water jumpers their first medal in the fourth final.
The 27-year-old, who took over the leadership role in the team after the resignation of record European champion Patrick Hausding, increased her haul to seven European titles.
