PSV start with the expected eleven against AS Monaco. Trainer Ruud van Nistelrooy opts for the same eleven basic players as last week. Midfielders Ibrahim Sangaré and Guus Til and defender Philipp Mwene were given a rest on Saturday in the league match against FC Emmen. They were replaced by Xavi Simons, Érick Gutiérrez and Ki-Jana Hoever.

Furthermore, against Emmen Johan Bakayoko was allowed to start as right winger. Ismael Saibari plays in that position again against Monaco.

Derrick Luckassen has fallen out of the match selection.

The first match between the two clubs ended in 1-1 last week. Joey Veerman gave PSV the lead before half-time, after which Axel Disasi equalized in the 80th minute.

The winner of the meeting between PSV and AS Monaco will face Union from Belgium or the Scottish club Rangers FC, where Giovanni van Bronckhorst is trainer, in the play-offs.
