Fire in Cuban oil depot not yet under control | Abroad

At least one person has died in the fire, and at least 120 people have already needed nursing.
Specialists from Mexico and Venezuela are now on site to help with the firefighting.

The tanks contain Cuban crude oil and imported heavy oil, which is mainly used to generate electricity. With the fire, large energy reserves of the socialist state go up in flames. Cuba had previously suffered a severe economic crisis and had major problems with energy supplies.
