Belgium, Slovakia and Cuba will be Italy’s opponents in the first round of the World Cup which will take place from 22 August to 7 September in Thailand. The group draw took place in Bangkok this morning. Thirty-two teams participated in the twentieth edition of the event, won on the last two occasions by Serbia. The Italian national team, Olympic gold in Paris, won the World Championships in 2002 then took a silver and a bronze in 2018 and 2022
