The Fagradalsfjall volcano has registered great activity
The eruption would have been caused by a fissure in the earth’s crust
The volcano, located in the southwest of the country, has erupted after being calm for eight months. The inhabitants of this area of the country, located less than 40 kilometers from the capital, have been alerted by the “Iceland Meteorological Office”.
This alert has not only been received by the inhabitants of the region, but many curious people, in addition to influencers and photographers, have also been interested in the state of the volcano. Although it is an unusual event for many, and beautiful in terms of the violence of the fire, the authorities remind that they should not approach the volcano because of the obvious danger it poses.

Although the eruption has only just begun, experts speak of a fissure as a cause of the emergence of lava. This means that the magma would not be released through the cone but through a gap in the earth.
