It is said that Watford FC was not so sure whether the offensive needed reinforcement at all. But now the “Hornets” presented the expected winger Samuel Kalu (24). The Hertfordshire club had had their eyes on Girondins Bordeaux’s right winger for some time. Now the opportunity seemed favourable.
According to reports, the “Golden Boys” pay around 3 million euros for what Watford believes is a “versatile option” in attack. Kalu played on both flanks in Bordeaux, mostly on the right flank, as he did before at KAA Gent. There, regular Ismaïla Sarr (23) has been injured in the Premier League penultimate since November. Summer new signing Emmanuel Dennis (24) and Cucho Hernández (22) regularly and successfully helped out on the right flank.
