The year couldn’t have started more dramatically for Frans and Mariska Bauer. ‘Maris’ suffered a stroke. Still, her birthday will be celebrated on Wednesday, Frans reports on social media. “Today Mariska can add another year. Hip hip hip hooray!”, the singer writes on Instagram.
The two pose happily smiling on Instagram because of her 46th birthday. Congratulations are pouring in in the comments and fans say they hope Maris is doing well.
Mariska Bauer was hit by a cerebral infarction in the first week of this year. She was treated in the hospital in Roosendaal and then had to continue to recover at home.
A lot better
Last week Frans already announced that his wife is doing a lot better. “She is chatting again and even wants to do the ironing. I hope never to experience this again”, Frans said at the time.
The cause of the stroke was not known last week. Frans then said: “Mariska has had high blood pressure for some time, but this can happen to anyone, even the healthiest people.”
Frans and Mariska have been together for over thirty years. They have four sons together: Christiaan, Frans junior, Jan and Lucas. Frans and Mariska made several programs together, including Frans Bauer in China and Frans Bauer in America. In 2008 they got married.
