Arminia Bielefeld signed Oczipka after the end of the contract at Union Berlin

After the end of the contract at Union Berlin

Arminia Bielefeld strengthens with Bastian Oczipka (33). The East Westphalians announced the transfer on Friday. The left winger was available on a free transfer as his contract with Union Berlin ended on June 30 after just one season. For Oczipka, Arminia is already the seventh professional stop in Germany.

“In our conversations, it quickly became clear that Bastian was very interested in Arminia. He will help us because he can be deployed flexibly, has a lot of experience and can take on responsibility. The overall package at Bastian is right,” Bielefeld’s sporting director Samir Arabi commented on the commitment. Oczipka is Arminia’s sixth signing after relegation from the Bundesliga. The former junior national player played in 21 games for the “Iron” in all competitions last season, in which he contributed two assists.
