No sleep, guests Maria Agresta and Ginevra Di Marco

No.In the musical salon of Massimo Bernardini and of “Nessun Dorma”, tonight, 18 July at 9.15 pm on Rai 5, two apparently very different female voices meet, but with some points in common, which the conductor will help to discover.

On the one hand, the sumptuous voice of Maria Agresta (1978), soprano by international fame who trod the most famous scenes in the world under the direction of masters such as Riccardo Muti, Zubin Mehta, Daniel Barenboim and Antonio Pappano.

On the other, the clear timbre of Geneva Di Marco (1970), former female voice of the CSI (Consorzio Suonatori Indipendenti) which in a duet Giovanni Lindo Ferretti made the history of Italian independent rock to then take the road from soloist to the rediscovery of folk music.

The magic of their meeting and the surprise of their affinities are also made possible by the archive footage of the Teche Rai, which, during the episode of “Nessun dorma”, restore the vocal richness of Maria Agresta, interpreter of Verdi and Puccini. Ginevra Di Marco will perform strictly live, accompanied by the historic keyboardist of the Csi Francesco Magnelli and by the guitarist Andrea Salvadori, who will be joined by the jazz musicians Night Dreamers, the “resident” band of the program.
