Claudio Ranieri and Watford FC have parted ways after 14 games. This was announced by the relegation-threatened Premier League club on Tuesday evening. The 70-year-old Italian averaged just 0.5 points per game with the Hornets – the only wins were against Manchester United (4-1) and Everton (5-2).
Ranieri is “always respected for his efforts to lead the team with dignity” at Watford FC. At the promoted team, dismissals are almost part of daily business, as Ranieri was the 13th head coach in the past ten years. The Italian had by far the worst number of points.
