By a respected editor Elliotte Friedman Erik Haula, who played for the Boston Bruins last season, will move from the Bruins to the New Jersey Devils in a trade.

In the trade, Pavel Zacha moves to the Bruins.

Haula, 31, played 78 regular season games last season in a Bruins shirt with an output of 18+26=44. In the playoffs, he scored 1+2 in seven matches.

The Devils will be Haula’s seventh NHL club in his career. Haula started his NHL career with the Minnesota Wild in the 2013–2014 season. He moved from the Wild to the Vegas Golden Knights for the 2017-2018 season, after which he has represented the Carolina Hurricanes, Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators before moving to the Bruins.

Haula has one more season left on his two-year contract with the Bruins. He will make $2.3 million per season during the contract.

Claude Giroux to the Ottawa Senators

Giroux represented the Florida Panthers last spring. Giroux joined the Panthers in a trade from the Philadelphia Flyers, where he served as captain for several seasons. In the Panthers shirt, he played 18 regular season games with 3+20. In the playoffs, 3+5 performances were produced in 10 matches.
