Back in May 2021, rapper Fler announced in a Switch livestream with Rooz that he was seeking changes in his music career. He stated that the album CANCEL CULTURE NIGHTMARE with Bass Sultan Hengzt would be his last album for the time being. Now Fler underlined this consideration in one of his Instagram stories and gave further insights into the plans for his musical future in an interview with Rooz.
The release of Fler’s last album CANCEL CULTURE NIGHTMARE with bass Sultan Hengzt is planned for January 28, 2022. The album will contain a total of 19 tracks. The third track from the album “Kein Star” was released on January 14 of this year and has so far had more than 400,000 views on YouTube.
In the January 12 interview with moderator, journalist and DJ Rooz, Fler talks about working more extensively with other rappers in the future. The rapper can imagine four to five releases as quarterly EPs. He already had some ideas and conceptions.
Fler adds that EPs would give him greater musical freedom. The rapper also talks to Rooz about the current music industry in general and the difficulties associated with Spotify’s algorithms. Due to the limitation of the algorithms, it is an eternal balancing act between creativity and the pressure to release as many tracks as possible.
