Cucho Hernández is leaving Watford FC after his first season with the Hornets and is moving to Columbus Crew in America. The MLS club confirmed on Tuesday that this is the most expensive signing in the club’s history, without giving the exact sum. According to American media reports, Columbus will pay 10 million US dollars, the equivalent of around 9.55 million euros. The 23-year-old center forward has been given a contract until 2025.
Hernández moved to Watford FC in January 2017, but only played his first Premier League game after four loan spells last season. In 25 appearances, the two-time Colombia international has scored five and provided two assists. In the ranking of the most expensive MLS newcomers, he ranks eighth (to the statistics).
