Boy (16) kidnapped and beaten with a hammer: 2.5 years in prison

The Public Prosecution Service has demanded 30 months in prison against the suspect of the kidnapping of a teenager in Breda. The 16-year-old boy was said to have been forced into his car by the 21-year-old suspect last September. The teenager was found injured in Hoek van Holland moments later.

The kidnapping happened around 7 p.m. The boy had visited a supermarket on Kesterlaan. Then he was taken against his will.

About two hours after the boy got in, the police in Rotterdam received a report that an injured boy was lying in the water of the Nieuwe Waterweg in Hoek van Holland. That turned out to be the missing boy.

The victim was also allegedly assaulted. For example, he would have received several blows with a hammer. His iPhone, debit card and keys were also allegedly stolen.

The suspect admits that there was a discussion in the car. In doing so, he said, blows were thrown from both sides.

In addition to the 30-month prison term, a 6-month suspended sentence has also been demanded that the suspect must serve if he commits the wrongdoing again. In addition, there is an obligation to report to the probation service and a ban on contact with the victim.
