Zurich (AP) – Franco Foda will be the new head coach of the Swiss soccer champions FC Zurich. As the club announced, the 56-year-old has signed a two-year contract until June 30, 2024.

“The chemistry was right from the start and I’m convinced that we can achieve a lot together. I’m really looking forward to the new task,” Foda was quoted as saying on the club’s website. Club boss Ancillo Canepa said: “With Franco Foda we were able to hire the coach we wanted. We are convinced that he will continue to develop the FCZ first team because of his personality and experience.”
