Second division promoted 1. FC Magdeburg has committed offensive player Mohammed El Hankouri.
The 24-year-old last played for Dutch first division football club FC Groningen, for whom he played 30 games (one goal, five assists) in the Eredivisie last season.
El Hankouri had previously gone through the youth teams of Feyenoord Rotterdam and made the leap to the professionals there. He played one game each for the Moroccan and Dutch U20 national teams and two games for the Moroccan U23 team.
