Hugo Ekitike is consistent reports from transfer experts Fabrizio Romano and “RMC Sports” according to a move from Stade Reims to the nouveau riche Newcastle United. According to Romano, center forward Ekitike and Newcastle have also agreed on the transfer modalities. The 19-year-old Frenchman, who has been linked in particular to Borussia Dortmund but also to Bayern Munich in the rumor mill, is set to sign a five-year deal with the Premier League club. “He’ll probably go. There isn’t a big club that hasn’t asked about him,” Stade Reims club boss Jean-Pierre Caillot told Europe1 at the end of April. The 1.90 meter tall Ekitike is one of the strongest upstarts in Ligue 1 and has been able to increase his market value from 600,000 to 28 million euros this season – his contract runs until 2024.
