There have never been so many liberals in government as there are now, but liberalism seems to have completely disappeared. A good liberal premise is that people are set free unless there are compelling reasons to impose restrictions. The hybrid heat pump played this week. This will become mandatory in four years’ time when replacing the central heating boiler in all houses in the Netherlands (unless it is technically impossible).
