Just as a ‘Wildlife Photographer’ is selected every year, there are also photographers who hold the ‘alien’ title of Milky Way Photographer to be honored. The selected images are breathtaking and remind us to look up a little more often.

The Milky Way, our own galaxy, fascinates not only astronomers, but also photographers. After all, you can see much more through the lens of a camera than with the naked eye. That’s why astrophotographers worldwide have turned their lens upwards over the past year, from New Zealand to Chile.
