The police have launched an investigation incident involving the Mi-8 helicopter in the Nenets Autonomous Okrug, the press service of the North-Western Transport Prosecutor’s Office reports.
It is known that on Tuesday afternoon, January 18, the aircraft of the Gazprom Avia airline made a hard landing, about 150 meters short of the landing site of the Arctic heliport in the village of Varandey.
According to updated data, there were 11 people on board the Mi-8, including three crew members and eight passengers. Fortunately, none of them were hurt.
The helicopter received damage to the stabilizer and propeller.
As part of the proceedings, prosecutors plan to study the technical condition of the aircraft and the actions of the crew.
