Tennis player Van de Zandschulp enters top 30 world rankings
Botic van de Zandschulp has entered the top 30 of the world ranking. The best tennis player in the Netherlands rose three places and is now number 29 in the world.
The 26-year-old Van de Zandschulp reached the second round of the masters tournament in Rome last week, in which he lost to the Norwegian Casper Ruud. Due to his entry into the top 30, Van de Zandschulp is next week placed at Roland Garros, the second grand slam tournament of the year. The best 32 tennis players have protected status in the grand slams.
Tallon Groet is the second Dutchman in 64th place. He also rose three spots. In the top 10, the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas and Rafael Nadal swapped places. Tsitsipas took fourth place from the 21-time grand slam champion. Number 1 Novak Djokovic ran out on Daniil Medvedev, who is making his return to the tour this week after back surgery. Djokovic was the best in Rome.

Among the women, Arantxa Rus is the highest ranked Dutch. She lost two places and is now the world number 76. Little changed in the top and Iga Swiatek strengthened her leading position. The Polish took the title in Rome on Sunday and won for the 28th time in a row in the Italian capital.
Czech Karolina Pliskova, last year’s finalist in Rome, dropped two places and is now eighth.
