Will John de Mol join Today Inside? ‘That would be very good’

It would be great if John de Mol takes a seat in Today Inside when the program is relaunched on Monday. That says Jordi Versteegden, media reporter for De Telegraaf, in Privé TV.

Angela de Jong was in the episode in which the abrupt end of Today Inside was announced two weeks ago and she has been invited to sit at the table again next week. In any case, that will not be on Monday, because then she has to write a column about the program, let her know on the AD site.

John de Mol in VI?

So who should join the first VI? Jordi Versteegden, the media reporter for De Telegraaf, argues for John de Mol. He has so far not publicly interfered with the candle riot about VI, but in the end he is of course the man who pulls the strings behind the scenes.

It is time for John to speak out, Jordi thinks. Until now, the billionaire left all communication to two of his many Talpa bobos. “We have now had Marco Louwerens and Paul Römer, let John de Mol sit comfortably,” said the Telegraaf reporter at Private TV

‘It would be crazy’

It wouldn’t be the first time that John sits down in Today Inside. “He has been there several times in the past. Then to laugh and now something is wrong.”

Jordi thinks it would also be good for John himself. “We also know that John has been under fire lately. He doesn’t want that, but unfortunately: that’s not the case. His credibility is also at stake. I would really love it if he just sits between the gentlemen on Monday.”

Johan at the Public Prosecution Service

The candle riot around Johan Derksen has now pretty much calmed down. The football expert had a cup of coffee with the Public Prosecution Service yesterday, which announced that it would investigate the case. “It was an invitation, because he didn’t have to be on the mat,” explains Rob Goossens in RTL Boulevard.

According to Rob, it was a pleasant get-together. “The Public Prosecution Service had of course already announced that they would start an investigation into that candle story. I just spoke to Johan and he actually had a very pleasant, a bit strange conversation with the Public Prosecution Service, because they never spoke again about that investigation.”

‘We won’t hear from you anymore’

Rob expects that the Public Prosecution Service will eventually communicate that the case will not be investigated further. “They said [tegen Johan]: ‘By the way, if that candle story has already happened, then it is barred anyway.’”

“He was otherwise asked not to say anything about it, so it kind of sounds like we’re never going to hear about this again.”
