D.from 2 to 5 June Queen Elizabeth will be celebrated for his 70 record years on the throne with parades, concerts and kilometers of buntingthe traditional garlands of flags Union Jack. From 1 June to 18 September, the Moatthe medieval moat that surrounds the impressive Tower of London, dresses up for the spectacular Superbloom: 20 million seeds have been planted in the past few months in order to create a sea of wildflowers with the favorite colors of the sovereign. All this will be accompanied by a series of sculptures and soundscape (sound installations).
Picnic season opens in Sandringham and Windsor
On Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th June, it will take place in Sandringham the Platinum Takeaway Picnic in the Park Afternoon Tea. Prepared in a package adorned with the jubilee logos and colorsthe picnic basket with sandwiches, sweets and drinks (at a cost of 35 pounds, just over 40 euros, for two adults) must be booked and then collected at the restaurant of the royal residence.
On Saturday 4 June it is possible to enjoy a picnic under the queen’s windows, in the Long Walk leading to Windsor Castle. There will be live music and an exhibition of vintage and non-vintage cars, one for each year starting in 1952, the date of the ascension to the throne of Elizabeth II.
