The latest omikron variants of the coronavirus appear to be responsible for 7 percent of the infections in Amsterdam. In a random sample, 13 of the 181 analyzed tests involved the so-called BA.4 or BA.5 variant, the Amsterdam UMC and the GGD Amsterdam report. A week ago it was only 1 test.
