BVB: Focus on Benjamin Sesko from RB Salzburg – consultant in the stadium

Successor wanted for Haaland

Erling Haaland (21) has not yet made a decision about his future, but it is almost certain that the top scorer will leave Borussia Dortmund after the season with an exit clause. BVB is already looking for a successor. Karim Adeyemi (20), who is about to sign, should not replace Haaland one-to-one, but is considered a late reaction to the departure of the fast-paced and dribbling Jadon Sancho (22; Manchester United) last summer. However, a new striker with more physicality could also come from Red Bull Salzburg.

According to the “Kicker”, the black and yellow have narrowed their circle of candidates to young and successful attackers, who, however, have so much room for improvement in terms of performance that the transfer fee is not yet astronomically high. In addition to the candidates Hugo Ekitike (19; Stade Reims) and Adam Hlozek (19; Sparta Prague) who have already been traded, Borussia Dortmund is therefore dealing with Adeyemi’s RB colleague Benjamin Sesko. The 18-year-old’s advisor has already followed the last two BVB games in the stadium.

In Salzburg, Sesko was already dubbed the successor to Haaland, who switched to BVB for 20 million euros at the beginning of 2020. The 1.94 meter forward is completing his first full season with RB and has contributed ten goals and seven assists in 33 games so far. The Slovenian national player is contractually bound to the top Austrian club until 2026. However, BVB once again has competition from FC Bayern when it comes to advertising. “Sport Bild” recently reported that Munich’s Sesko is also on the list and attests to its enormous potential.
