The memorial wreath is an example of sustainable commemoration. Geert Bekaert, director of CWGC in Central and Southern Europe explains: “It is an environmentally friendly option, as it is made locally and is 100 percent biodegradable. When we have to remove them from the cemetery after a while, she goes to our own compost farm just outside Ypres, and later feeds the flower borders in our cemeteries again.”

Proceeds from the sale will go to the CWGC Foundation.
