Number of fatal accidents rising again

There were 58 fatal crashes in 2021, 51 in 2020 and 58 in 2019 and 82 in 2018. Most of the crashes occurred on regional roads and were caused by male drivers between the ages of 28 and 39.

In 2021, 12 cyclists were also killed. In 2020 there were remarkably more: 23. The corona measures and the beautiful weather in September played a significant role in this.

These figures come from the governor’s secretariat. He advises all drivers to respect the highway code and to be alert. He also makes a number of recommendations. Below you can see the full list:
