Manchester United coach Ralf Rangnick has backed his team captain after a bomb threat against Harry Maguire.
“I’m sorry Harry had to go through this horrible experience,” Rangnick said. According to a report by the “PA” news agency, the 29-year-old defender Maguire called the police on Thursday after receiving a bomb threat. His home was then searched by officers for an explosive device.
He has not spoken to Maguire since the incident, Rangnick said. However, the player knows that the club and his teammates have his back, the German continued.
England international Maguire is currently under massive criticism for his team’s poor performance. On Tuesday, the team suffered a humiliating 4-0 defeat in the Premier League game at rivals Liverpool FC. The English record champions are currently sixth in the Premier League.
