In the statement made by UEFA, the decision regarding the events in the match where Galatasaray bid farewell to the organization by losing 2-1 to Spain’s Barcelona team in the last 16 round of the UEFA Europa League on March 17, was announced.
According to the decision taken by the UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Committee (CEDB), at least 3 thousand seats will be left empty in the first European Cup match to be played in 2 years from the East tribune in Nef Stadium, where objects were thrown onto the field during the Galatasaray-Barcelona match.
UEFA also fined Galatasaray 20 thousand euros, in addition to the partial closure penalty.
