The return of the Coachella festival brought the much-awaited fashion show after the pandemic-related hiatus. Potent sponsors were looking for the hottest possible material for their brand appearance on Instagram and Co. But in addition to supermodels, start-up zampanos and influencers in “super mini style” it was also about the music in the desert of Palm Springs.
The celebrated hero was everybody’s fashion darling Harry Styles, who enchanted Friday night in an airy sequined suit as the frenetically acclaimed headliner. Especially the unexpected duet with country rocker Shania Twain turned out to be an ingenious reach into the bag of tricks.
“On my mother’s car radio, this lady showed me how to sing. Otherwise, I learned from her that men are junk,” Styles announced with a smug grin from the main stage and agreed with her on their classic “Man! I feel like a woman!” and “You’re Still the One”. In any case, the chemistry was right between the British youngster Styles (28) and the US legend that was twice as old.

A congenial start for the forthcoming release of his new album “Harry’s House”, which will be released in Germany on May 22nd. After performing the One Direction hit “What Makes You Beautiful” to massive acclaim, there was the live debut of pre-single “As It Was” as well as two other brand new tracks (“Boyfriends” and “Late Night Talking”).
Coachella 2022: Billie Eilish – Declaration of love to Damon Albarn
Billie Eilish also made an effective visit when Damon Albarn suddenly appeared on stage. “This is the craziest shit that’s ever happened to me,” she exclaimed enthusiastically to the crowd. “Damon has enriched my life in many ways and sharpened my attitude towards what it means to produce music and art.”
Albarn edited the Eilish song “Getting Older” for a streaming session and the two have been dating ever since. Another legend later joined them: De La Soul’s mastermind Posdnous, who raped the Gorillaz’ 2005 hit “Demon Dayz.”
The discovery was – in addition to the rousing hip-hop dance revue by Megan The Stallion, of course – the Australian punk siren GG Magree, who has been living in Los Angeles for some time and radiates her dark electro energies from there. Evil music that will still have wide repercussions.
