Stand: 04.07.2026 07:45 Uhr
Today, the vibrant and colorful Schlagermove parade takes over Hamburg, bringing a festival-like atmosphere to the city. Expect hundreds of thousands of fans to gather in the St. Pauli district.
Highlights of the Schlagermove Parade
The highlight of the event kicks off at 15:00 with a procession of around 50 trucks departing from Heiligengeistfeld, traveling through Millerntorplatz, Landungsbrücken, Hafenstraße, and Reeperbahn before returning to Heiligengeistfeld. Star performers like Karl König, Peter Sebastian, and Rosanna Rocci will keep the vibe alive on the trucks. In addition, DJ Andi B will spin tracks from 12:00 until midnight at the ‘Schlagermove Truck Party’. Free entry is available, but tickets are required to ride on the Schlager trucks.
Road Closures in St. Pauli
Due to the Schlagermove celebrations, many roads in St. Pauli will be closed. The Reeperbahn will remain shut until Sunday at 03:00. Organizers expect the police to impose roadblocks starting Saturday at 12:00. Truck assembly is set to begin around 13:00, with the first trucks expected back at Heiligengeistfeld between 20:00 and 20:30.
Post-Parade Celebrations
After the main parade, festivities continue at Hamburg Docks on the Reeperbahn for the official ‘Schlagermove Aftermove Party’. DJ Vossi and The Real DJ Maikel will perform from 18:00 onwards. Celebrations actually began on Friday with the ‘Schlagermove in Concert Open Air’, showcasing multiple Schlager stars.
Sanitary Arrangements
To prevent issues with public urination, event organizers have arranged approximately 500 toilet units along the parade route. Mobile urinals will be set up for men, and dedicated toilet containers with cleaning staff will be available for women. Attendees are also encouraged to use public restrooms and facilities at local bars and restaurants participating in the Schlager festivities.
Emergency Services and Safety Measures
Approximately 300 medical personnel will be positioned along the parade route and at Heiligengeistfeld. Additionally, public playgrounds in the area will be monitored by security services. An emergency codeword, “Habt Ihr Softeis?”, will allow individuals in distress to discreetly seek help from event staff.
Inclusivity Initiatives
This year marks the introduction of a “Wheelchair Truck”, offering an inclusive riding experience for wheelchair users. Organized by a charity supporting children with injuries and the German Muscular Dystrophy Association, this initiative aims to demonstrate that events like the Schlagermove are capable of being inclusive.
Conclusion: Celebrating Community and Culture
This year, the Hamburg Schlagermove celebrates its 28th anniversary, solidifying its status as one of Germany’s largest Schlager events. Last year, approximately 300,000 attendees enjoyed this grand celebration, highlighting the event’s significance in fostering community spirit through vibrant festivities.
